“Suns announce starting lineup against Warriors”

The Phoenix Suns will have a new starting lineup tonight against the Golden State Warriors as Devin Booker and Jusuf Nurkic are both out.

Booker (left groin strain) will miss his fifth straight game, while Nurkic begins his three-game suspension for his involvement in an altercation in last night’s 98-89 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

Grayson Allen (concussion protocol) and Bol Bol (left knee contusion) also didn’t make the quick trip and will both miss a fifth straight game.

Here is the starting lineup coach Mike Budenholzer is working with tonight:

Jones is one of two Suns to play in all 30 games this season. He’ll be looking to bounce back after a season-low three-pointer against Dallas.

Beal also struggled against the Mavericks with just 11 points on 5 of 18 shooting and four turnovers after having arguably his best game of the season on Christmas against the Denver Nuggets. The Suns will need Beal to be aggressive and harness his energy tonight.

Dunn is in the starting lineup for the third straight game without Booker out. Phoenix will again replace Royce O’Neale, who will be used in favor of the rookie, who will face a tough test on defense against Stephen Curry and Co.

Durant, as he has in several games this season, was the lone bright spot against the Mavericks, leading with 35 points on 11 of 19 shooting. He will look to continue that performance against his former team.

Plumlee will start for Nurkić for the eighth time this season. The big man hasn’t scored in double figures since November 12th, but has been great on the glass and with his play.

Tonight’s game begins just after 6:30 p.m. Arizona time.
