Supermodel and actress Dayle Haddon died in a suspected carbon monoxide poisoning accident

Dayle Haddon has died of carbon monoxide poisoning in what appears to be a tragic accident at her son-in-law’s home. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Actor Marc Blucas.

CBS News reports that the 76-year-old Canadian actress and supermodel was found at Blucas’ home in Bucks County, New Jersey on Friday after police were called to the scene. CBS quoted a police official as reporting that high levels of carbon monoxide were found inside the property and that a heating system malfunction was suspected. It is not yet known if Blucas was home at the time of the incident.

Haddon was born and raised in Montreal. He spoke English and French fluently. She initially wanted to be a ballet dancer, but found fame as a model and worked for Revlon, Estee Lauder, Clairol and Max Factor. She appeared on the cover of fashion magazine several times.

She appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue in 1973 and has been named twice Harper’s Bazaaris the list of the “Ten Most Beautiful Women”.

In the early 1970s she turned to Hollywood and made her film debut there The greatest athlete in the world (Disney, 1973). She later appeared in cheater (1975), Madame Claude (1977), North Dallas Forty (1979), desert hunting (1986), Cyborg (1989) and Balls over Broadway (1994).

She became the well-known face of L’Oreal’s anti-aging products and was the author of the book Ageless Beauty: A Woman’s Guide to Lifelong Beauty and Wellbeing.

Blucas, who is married to Haddon’s daughter, is best known for his role as Riley Finn in Buffy the Vampire Slayeras well as numerous Hallmark films.
