It seems like people post anything online without fear of repercussions – and Sydney Sweeney has obviously had enough of it. After really offensive pictures of her in a bikini at home were leaked to the press, there were a lot of hateful comments about her condition Sydney‘s body. The euphoria Actress who is currently filming an as-yet-untitled film Christy Martin movieincreased Instagramby pointing out the abundance of hate and body shaming in her comments… all without actually saying (or writing) anything. Instead of letting her haters win, she let her words — and, frankly, her muscles — speak for themselves.

On December 12, 2024 Photos of Sydney Sweeney in a Bikini (In Her Own Backyard) leaked to the press and spread like wildfire. It can be clearly seen that the photos are greatly enlarged, suggesting that paparazzi were eyeing her backyard from a distance to photograph Sydney at her private home.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, trolls also used the comments section of every article to shame each other. Some comments call her hateful names like “butterface” and “slimphat,” while others question whether or not she is pregnant. If you’re thinking this is very reminiscent of the tabloid heyday of the 2000s, you’re right. We all grew up with this kind of invasive paparazzi, and while there was resistance to some degree, unfortunately over time it has become normalized.

Luckily, Sydney Sweeney has decided she can’t allow this behavior to continue in her life any longer than normal. Instead of posting a long caption or responding to every single troll in the comments section, Sydney created a very meaningful video that says it all. The post begins with screenshots of the terrible comments people have made about her over the past few days – including her usernames – as the video scrolls through one hateful message after another. The video then shows Sydney in the gym, where she appears to be training for her upcoming film in which she plays famous boxer Christy Martin.

With this single post, Sydney has proven her strength in more ways than one. She’s proven that she’s in great physical shape and is capable of (and acing) intense workouts left and right. She has proven that she won’t let these insensitive words get her down. And she’s proven that she’s no longer letting haters hide in plain sight – if you want to say something about her, she’ll put your username on full blast for her 23 million followers to see.

And friends like Glen Powell, Madelyn Cline and Isabela Merced popped up and appeared in the comments!

Well, not only do these body-shaming weirdos look stupid calling her “fat” — and in whatever other way they tried to bring her down — they also attach their name to their words. And I for one am more than here for it. Go to Sydney!
