Taylor Swift donates $250,000 to Operation Breakthrough at the Kansas City Educational Center

‘Tis the season to give back – and Taylor Swift is getting into the spirit!

The 35-year-old “Clara Bow” singer recently donated a quarter of a million dollars to Operation Breakthrough, which her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, has also prominently supported.

On Saturday, December 21, the Education Center, an organization dedicated to improving the educational environment for children in Kansas City, thanked Swift on an even brighter note.”

“Your kind and thoughtful donation of 250,000 means a lot to our children and families,” they continued in the video’s caption.

The video began with a little girl saying, “Thank you, Taylor!” while forming a heart with her hands. A shot is then shown of Lego toys placed on a white sheet of paper in the shape of Swift’s face and a child holding a sign that says “Thank you.”

Other children and teens thanked the singer throughout the video, including a boy wearing a red Kansas City Chiefs hat who said, “Thank you Taylor, we all love you.” The video ended with a little girl thanking Swift for that she “made all of our wildest dreams come true.”

The organization is Kelce’s favorite in particular, and earlier this month shared some statistics from his work with Operation Breakthrough, including that they have been able to serve 400 students annually thanks to donations from him and others. They also found that they could open ten labs and teach students nearly two dozen industry skills.

The 14-time Grammy winner supports her boyfriend’s work not only off the field, but also on it. Swift was seen at the Chiefs’ game against the Houston Texans on December 21st.

Swift made her way through the Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium to support her significant other. She wore a long red winter coat from Charlotte Simone and black pants, which she paired with a black fur hat.

The game is the first she has participated in since November 29th. Swift recently wrapped up her record-breaking Eras Tour and played her final show in Vancouver on December 8th.

After the tour ended, the Chiefs tight end threw the musician a surprise party to celebrate the success of the tour, which began in March 2023 and visited dozens of cities around the world.

Kelce put on a suit Tortured Poets Department sketch, while Swift wore a black dress with silver details. He even gave her the “22” hat, replicating a popular moment from her concerts where she handed the hat to a child at each stop.

Partygoers wore bright concert bracelets and friendship bracelets scattered around the tables to match their Eras Tour-inspired outfits.
