Taylor Swift skips Travis Kelce’s Steelers Christmas game

Last Christmas, Taylor Swift brought “Santa Claus” (her brother Austin Swift in this outfit) and her family to the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Las Vegas Raiders on December 25th. This year, she’s supporting her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, from afar. Swift chose not to attend Kelce’s away game at Allegiant Stadium. He was filmed arriving at the stadium today and she was not seen there before kick-off.

The singer’s decision isn’t surprising since Swift has only attended Kelce’s home games. Last year’s Christmas game was at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. In October, a source said Page Six that Swift avoids away games because of the security risk. “She won’t be going anywhere unless she knows the venue clearly and it has been thoroughly scouted and secured in advance,” the source said.

On December 3, a source said Us weekly a little about Swift’s Christmas plans and says she plans to host her and Kelce’s families. Now that her Eras tour is over, the singer is looking forward to spending more time with her partner of over a year.

A source shared, “Taylor plans to stay home and hibernate (with Travis) for a while. They want to do ‘normal things’ as a couple.”

This insider also suggested that a vacation engagement was not in the plans. The couple would “love to get engaged,” but “don’t rush it,” the source said.

A second source added that Swift prefers to take things slowly. They explained: “While Taylor feels like Travis is the one, stepping in isn’t her style. That’s just not how she does things. Marriage is a big deal and she wants it to last forever.”

Kelce, for his part, has put a lot of effort into making Swift’s December – her birthday falls on December 13 – special despite his work commitments. On December 5, a source said Page Six, “Even though he’s playing on Christmas and has an away game on Taylor’s birthday weekend, Travis will make time to celebrate both occasions with her.”

He also gave her many gifts. “(He) has been buying Christmas and birthday presents for Taylor for some time,” the insider said. “(He’s) not the type to leave these things until the last minute, so he’s been picking up items here and there over the last few months whenever he’s had the chance.”
