Taylor Swift was once again named Spotify Wrapped Global Artist of the Year

Try taking Taylor Swift’s job. The Eras Tour singer is Spotify’s Global Top Artist 2024 for the second year in a row, with three of her albums in the top 10.

The “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” singer racked up an impressive 26.6 billion streams worldwide. No wonder the most streamed album worldwide was The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology. As part of the marketing for the pop album’s release, Spotify set up a library installation in Los Angeles. Fans lined up for hours to take photos in front of the library’s Easter egg-strewn shelves.

After its release on April 19, Swift broke a monumental record by becoming the first artist to reach one billion streams for an album in five days. Not to mention, she had an impressive 300 million streams in a single day.

The “Tortured Poets” album required no promotion, as the “Fortnight” singer recorded seven tracks in the second year of her record-breaking Eras tour. Also included in the Spotify Wrapped Top 10 are Swift’s latest new recording, “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” and her pink album, “Lover.”

Although the singer-songwriter is ranked No. 1 on the top 10 global artist and album lists, only “Cruel Summer” made it into the top 10 most streamed songs worldwide. Two artists who opened for Swift on the Eras Tour shined at the top of the song list.

To celebrate Swift’s achievement, Spotify placed a top honors badge on her profile. The music platform created Easter egg animations on her various albums, including glitter for “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” and seagulls for “1989 (Taylor’s Version).” They also added Snapchat augmented reality friendship bracelets and created special installations in New York City, Toronto, Jakarta, São Paulo, Manila, Mexico City, London, Berlin, Los Angeles, Nashville and Miami.
