Taylor Swift performed her final Eras Tour concert in Vancouver on Sunday, ending a significant chapter in the history of modern music.

Swift told her audience during the show that the Eras Tour performed to over 10 million people during its epic run.

Swift said the fans made the tour “something completely different from anything I’ve ever done in my life, with your traditions, with your passion, the way you care about this tour.” .”

“That’s what I think is the lasting legacy of this tour… that you created such a space of joy and togetherness and love,” she added.

During the portion of the show where Swift typically performs songs not on the night’s setlist, she highlighted five sentimental songs that she said “get to the heart of how I’m feeling tonight.”

Their selections were “A Place in the This World” from their self-titled debut album, “New Romantics” from “1989 (Taylor’s Version)”, “Long Live” from “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” and “New Years Day”. “from “Reputation” and “The Manuscript” from “The Tortured Poets Department.”

Swift announced the Eras Tour following the release of her 10th album, Midnights, in 2022. It was their first tour since the 2018 Reputation Stadium Tour and began in March 2023 in Glendale, Arizona.

The three-hour show sold out quickly and fans were eager to be there in person. Demand for tickets was so great at the time they went on sale that Ticketmaster suffered an infamous collapse, leading to a congressional hearing after two dozen fans filed a lawsuit alleging claimed that the ticketing website and its parent company Live Nation violated antitrust laws.

With a packed 44-song setlist as her guide, Swift used the Eras Tour to travel through time and perform songs from every album released during her 18-year career.

During the tour, Swift released three albums – The Tortured Poets Department and two re-recorded Taylor’s Version releases.

In the wake of the pandemic, the Eras Tour took place at a time when people needed it most, leaving an indelible mark on every city where the show took place.

Swift mentioned the timing of the tour during her show on Sunday, telling the crowd, “We didn’t know the future of concerts.”

“We didn’t know if we would ever make it The again, where we’re all in the same room, beautifully singing the same words and relating to each other at the same time,” she said.

The tour generated so much buzz that it boosted the local economy, caused earthquakes, and hosted everyone from Prince William to Emma Stone and so many more.

Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, even made a cameo appearance on stage during a July show at London’s Wembley Stadium during the “TTPD” portion of the set she did following the album’s release in April into their setlist.

The tour also spawned her box office hit concert film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” which premiered in theaters in October 2023 and grossed approximately $96 million in its opening weekend in the United States and Canada and $32 million internationally, according to the theater chain AMC recorded.

The official figures for how much money the Eras Tour made have not been released, but it is estimated that the tour will gross over $2 billion, making it the highest-grossing tour in history.

The current record holder is Elton John, whose “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour grossed over $900 million.

Ahead of the final show, Swift was seemingly sentimental, telling the audience Saturday that the tour was “the funniest, most joyful, most exciting, most intense, most powerful and most wonderful tour I’ve ever done,” according to footage posted online.

“I’ve never played so many shows on one tour before,” she added. “I just never wanted it to end because you made it such a wonderful experience for all of us on stage.”
