Indian cricketer Nitish Kumar Reddy scored his first test hundred on the third day of the Boxing Day Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. After completing his half-century earlier in the day, the cricketer turned to the crowd in the stadium and nodded to Allu Arjun’s famous gesture from the Pushpa films. Team Pushpa responds to Nitish Kumar Reddy

On Saturday, Nitish scored his first half-century in a Test match. After that moment, the cricketer turned to the crowd, picked up his bat and gestured Arjun’s signature move ‘thaggede le’ (I will not give in), much to everyone’s delight. As promised, he also completed his first century during the game.

Recent videos were circulating on X (formerly Twitter) in which Arjun fans were thrilled to see the Vizag cricketer giving a nod to their favorite star. Team Pushpa also reacted to the same and wrote, “#AssaluThaggedhele #Pushpa2 #WildFirePushpa” while sharing Nitish’s video.

In a separate post, they also congratulated him on his maiden century in the Test match and wrote: “WILD FIRE knock indeed!! Congratulations on your first test tone #NitishKumarReddy. #Pushpa2.”

Fans responded to the posts, with one “Thaggede le.”

About Pushpa 2: The Rule

Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles, hit theaters on December 5 and paid premieres on December 4. The film is a sequel to their 2021 hit film Pushpa: The Rise. Pushpa 2: The Rule is the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024 and has crossed the mark 1700 crore gross worldwide.

There was a stampede at the film’s premiere at the Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad, leaving a woman dead and her infant son hospitalized in a critical condition. The theater management, security guards and Arjun were arrested in the case. The actor is currently out on bail granted to him by the Telangana High Court.
