Teddy Bridgewater wants to win two championships in two months.

Bridgewater spent the fall coaching at his high school alma mater and led Miami Northwestern High to the Florida Class 3A state title earlier this month. But now it’s on to another championship.

He’s back with the Detroit Lions as a veteran backup for the playoffs.

The Lions have secured a spot in the playoffs and can secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC with two more wins, but in case Jared Goff is out, they wanted to pick someone with experience; Hendon Hooker served as Goff’s backup throughout the season.

Bridgewater served as a backup for the Lions last year.

Bridgewater was a first-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings in 2014 and has started 65 games in his NFL career. He also spent two seasons in New Orleans when Dan Campbell was an assistant with the Saints.

Campbell gushed about his relationship with Bridgewater during his media appearance on Thursday.

“I have been in contact with Teddy for some time and it was always a potential possibility. And we all know what Teddy has done down there and what he gives back to his community, and they won a championship down there, so.” “His coaching debut went pretty well,” Campbell said.

“The opportunity to bring someone back here who has experience, who stays in shape, who has thrown, to train him here a little bit. That just brings a level of professionalism, veteran presence, someone who’s great for our team.”
