Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins was one of the big players to suffer an injury in Saturday night’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Higgins started the game with an ankle injury and ultimately did not finish, exiting early, being declared questionable by the team, and never taking the field again.

After the game, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reported that Higgins revealed that he suffered a sprained upper ankle. But the star wideout said he has “no choice” but to play through if the Bengals make the playoffs.

So, good and bad updates on the Higgins front. He is dealing with a serious injury of unknown severity, especially after being forced out of a game in which he had already caught four passes for 53 yards.

However, if Higgins believes he can make it in a potential playoff matchup against Buffalo in a week, that can only be seen as good news.

To his credit, there has never been any doubt in Higgins’ mind that he will go out and give the team everything he has, even at the risk of signing a potentially market-changing free agent contract this coming offseason receives.

Unfortunately for Higgins and the Bengals, whether they make the playoffs is now out of their hands – they need a win from the Jets and Chiefs on Sunday to advance to the playoff round.
