Saturday: Partly to mostly cloudy with high temperatures in the mid 30s. Wind: ESE 5-10 mph.

Tonight: Rain, light freezing rain or a wintry mix is possible after 11pm, but temperatures will rise overnight so any mix or freezing rain will change to all rain by Sunday morning. Temperatures tonight will initially drop to around 30° and then rise above freezing by daybreak. Wind: E 10-15 mph.

Sunday: Early freezing rain, then just showers. Highs in the low 40s.

The arctic chill is easing as temperatures begin to rise today with highs in the mid 30s! Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy during the day.

Our next storm system arrives late this evening. Some areas may experience freezing rain or wintry chaos after midnight, resulting in patchy ice on roads early Sunday morning. Freezing rain falls as rain but then turns to ice on any surface that is at or below freezing. Use caution on sidewalks, porches and other surfaces Saturday night through Sunday morning. Temperatures will gradually warm throughout the day, with highs rising to the low 40s, turning any precipitation into rain and melting the morning ice.

Another system will move into Monday, bringing more rain to the Detroit metropolitan area. The maximum temperatures rise to almost 50°C!

Calmer and cooler weather returns during the week, with highs falling back into the 40s on Tuesday and the 30s Wednesday through Friday.
