To be an entertaining gymnast requires a bit of finesse, and there’s no shortage of that in Philly. Kyrstin Johnson, a gymnast at Temple University, has gone viral for bringing her skills to the mats.

Temple Gymnastics shared a video of Kyrstin’s floor exercise on social media and the views are increasing.

Their routine begins with the summer hit “Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar, who will perform at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans in February.

After their first pass, the track switches to “Soak City (do it)” by 310babii. A second pass and a double pike later, Kyrstin came through with an epic finish.

That’s the kind of energy that gymnastics requires.

Kyrstin previously applied to HBCU Talladega College in Alabama, where she majored in biology. Talladega College was the first HBCU to start a gymnastics team, but unfortunately the program was recently discontinued due to a lack of funding.

Prior to coming to Temple, Kyrstin was a four-time First Team All-American and 2023 USAG National Vault Champion.

Now she’s thriving in Philly, breathing life into the program with exactly what the Internet wants to see.
