Terrifying moment: Trump adviser Alex Bruesewitz collapses on stage during a speech at the New York Young Republican Club gala

Alex Bruesewitz, a political strategist who worked on Donald Trump’s successful 2024 campaign, collapsed on stage during a speech in New York City.

The 27-year-old was in the middle of a speech at the 112th annual New York Young Republicans gala on Sunday evening alongside Trumpworld heavyweights like Steve Bannon and Dan Scavino when he suddenly fell from the podium.

Bruesewitz appeared visibly dissatisfied as he began to slur his speech – and at one point the MAGA strategist openly declared: “I’m forgetting my words.”

He tried to continue his speech and said, “But the sham impeachment…”

Those were the last words he could utter as he slowly fell to the ground. The shocking clip continued and people immediately ran to Bruesewitz’s aid as the entire crowd gasped.

While it’s currently unclear what caused the medical issue, conservative influencer Jack Posobiec said he spoke to Bruesewitz backstage and described it as a “fainting spell.”

Bruesewitz reportedly received medical attention backstage after the fall.

DailyMail.com has reached out to both the Trump-Vance transition team and X Strategies for comment.

In his biography on the

“Bruesewitz has been the driving force behind efforts to defeat Republicans fighting Trump and the MAGA movement and is working to replace them with Republicans who will fight for the values we hold dear.”

He rose to prominence in the Trump campaign when co-chair and now chief of staff Susie Wiles reached out to him over the summer.

The Trump campaign wanted the community to get to know the “real” Trump, the man who sits at the dinner table, chatting with his staff, cracking jokes and even teasing them as they talk about life and politics.

To that end, Bruesewitz began broadcasting the message to the podcast community.

Trump was ready to bring his star power to them.

“The idea was: We’re going to talk to the people who are dissatisfied with mainstream media, who have turned away from mainstream media, and who are now getting their news and entertainment from these podcasters,” Bruesewitz told DailyMail.com.

Trump and political strategists had already made a point of working with political podcasters like The Ben Shapiro Show and Dan Bongino, in addition to traditional hosts like Brian Kilmeade, Sean Hannity and Hugh Hewitt.

But Bruesewitz wanted to go further.

He wanted to join the growing group of comedians and entertainers who are uncensored, funny and reach a rapidly growing young audience in the millions – including Trump’s 18-year-old son Barron.

Bruesewitz worked with Barron on a list of interview ideas and explained to Trump the new media landscape that had millions of loyal followers.

The power of this new media community had already been recognized by astute promoter and UFC CEO Dana White.

White and his team offered them VIP access to the fights to promote their entertainment value.

Awesome podcasters found themselves alongside some of the world’s biggest celebrities.

At the same time, Trump regularly attended UFC fights and was impressed by the cheers of approval he received every time he entered the arena with Dana White.

He was often joined by Fox News media star and later podcaster Tucker Carlson and rocker Kid Rock.

He shook hands on the sidelines and met some of these newly influential figures who were happy to take selfies with Trump and then share them on social media.

There, Trump shook Joe Rogan’s hand for the first time, which immediately sparked excitement that they might see each other again in his podcast studio before the election.

Trump began conducting interviews with some names traditional politicians had never heard of: Adin Ross, Theo Von, Logan Paul, WWE star Mark Calaway, known as “Undertaker,” comedian Andrew Schulz and The Nelk Brothers.

No topic was taboo. Parenting, the Israeli war in Gaza, abortion, the JFK files, Bitcoin, cocaine and even the movie Braveheart.

“We let them run around and Trump is so great in this format,” Bruesewitz said.

Trump also had fun. “Alex is a good boy,” Trump told comedian Andrew Schulz on his “Flagrant” podcast, praising Brueswitz.

“He’s a well-known influencer, I don’t know if he’s in that league.”

Trump told Schultz and co-host Akaash Singh that Bruesewitz praised him as the number one influencer in the world, citing his hundreds of millions of followers.

Schultz agreed, putting Trump in the same sphere of influence as Rogan and Kim Kardashian.

“The people who build their following through social media have such an understanding of their followers and such a connection with them that when they go out on a limb and say, ‘I’m for Donald Trump, I think so “You should do that too.” “Follow,” said Bruesewitz.

Bruesewitz published a book in 2022 titled “Winning the Social Media War: How Conservatives Can Fight Back, Reclaim the Narrative, and Turn the Tide Against the Left.”

At the time, he described himself as a “leading conservative political consultant” and counted members of Congress and the Senate among his clients.
