Texas A&M knocks down Michigan QB Brady Hart

cocoa (Florida) High On300 quarterback Brady Hart has switched his commitment from Michigan to Texas A&M.

The blue-chip passer will also be reclassified from the 2026 class to the 2025 class. He will be the No. 22 pick for head coach Mike Elko and the Aggies in the class.

Hart also considered LSU late in his process. He will be in College Station for an official visit this weekend when the Aggies host Texas in the season finale.

Texas A&M has its signal caller in the 2025 class

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Hart was a coveted prospect for the Aggies in 2026 and they had him on campus before his June verbal appearance in front of the Maize and Blue. It fills the gap left by the five-star hotel Husan Long Street transferred to USC from Texas A&M earlier this month.

Hart led Cocoa to a state championship as a sophomore. In his final prep season, his team played deep into the state playoffs.

Through the first 11 games of the season, Hart has completed over 70 percent of his passes for 3,293 yards and 32 touchdowns with eight interceptions. As a sophomore, he was named a national recruit after throwing for 3,759 yards and 41 scores.

Texas A&M’s class was ranked 11th nationally before Hart transferred.

A look at what the Aggies are getting in Hart

Cocoa head coach Ryan Schneider is one of the best high school coaches in America. He says Hart has all the tools to be great at the next level.

“His work ethic, his competitiveness, how seriously he takes everything on the field and off the field,” Schneider said in the past. “His leadership skills as a sophomore brought him onto a team led by seniors, and the way he worked and handled his business on and off the field earned them their respect.”

“He has that “it” factor. He’s a guy the kids can take care of. He’s a guy who wants the ball in his hands in difficult situations. He has the ability to be one of the best.”

Hart can make all throws and handles the game at a high level.

“He has a God-given ability to determine size and arm, which is special, but I’m more excited about what’s between his ears and how it works,” Schneider said. “He has the chance to be something really special.”
