WDSU. FIRST WARNING: There’s so much going on. THIS WEEKEND WE HAVE THE BAYOU CLASSIC. THE SAINTS are coming out of the bye week and yes, we have another Thanksgiving before we get there. WE HAVE A FRONT. And maybe it’s a journey before you get there. WE HAVE THE TURKEY DAY RACE HERE ALSO. So let’s start where we now have a weak front. Not much is expected on this front. Maybe sprinkle a few late tonight. TOMORROW IT WILL BE A LITTLE COOLER, BUT IT’S STILL PRETTY COMFORTABLE. BY WEDNESDAY IT WILL BE THE SECOND FRONT AGAIN BEFORE THE WARM UP. THIS IS THE ONE THAT REALLY BRINGS THE MUCH COLDER AIR. BUT IT COULD PLAY A BIG ROLE IN THIS Thanksgiving forecast if that front is a little earlier, which could mean the chance of rain might not be as great. IF IT’S DONE A LITTLE LATER. COULD MEAN SOMETHING ELSE. So late tonight 330 is showing some sprinkles. Maybe if you notice a few raindrops on your car. IF YOU CHANGED TO WAKE UP EARLY IN THE MORNING, THAT WOULD BE IT. 50 TO 60 NORTH COAST MORNING BREAKFAST TO SOUTH COAST. It’s a light jacket, something like the old days. It’s still pretty comfortable in the afternoon. ADEQUATE AMOUNT OF SUNSHINE WITH 68, 69, 71, TWO, THREE. Kind of inside and outside, right. AT THIS ROOM TEMPERATURE THE THERMOSTAT IS ABOUT 72. CORRECT. That’s why we’re also looking at what’s happening in our travel forecast. So maybe you’re thinking about going away tomorrow on Tuesday. We say we have a pretty strong storm system in the western United States. This is a river with a weak atmosphere. WE HAVE SNOW POTENTIAL. SALT LAKE CITY DELTA CONNECTIONS AND EVEN NORTH CALIFORNIA TO SAN FRAN AND LA. Don’t think it’s a big problem. NORTHEAST. New York City is experiencing persistent showers, but here are the current forecasts. I HAVE SNOW AND MAYBE SOME CLOUDS AND RAIN FOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. TRAVEL ACROSS THE REGION AND NATIONAL FOR THE MOST PART ON TUESDAY, OKAY WE’RE GOING TO GO BACK TO THE FOCUSED FORECAST AND WE’LL HAVE THE OUTLOOK ON WEDNESDAY WHERE IT’S A LITTLE WARM UP HERE AFTER WE COOL DOWN A BIT TOMORROW. There could be a shower. IT’S A 20% CHANCE. AND IF WE GET SOME MORE CLOUDS, WE MAY BE POST 7677. I HAVE UPGRADED THIS BACK TO 7677. LOCAL TRAVEL DAY OKAY, I CANNOT RULE OUT THAT THE PREVIOUS SHOWER IS IN THE FORECAST. From regional travel to national travel from Denver International, it could be on Wednesday. I still see some snow there. Look at some high resolution forecasts, maybe 1 to 3 inches. ALSO AT THE AIRPORT. The official point that might be my only problem point in Wednesday’s forecast. AND THERE YOU SEE THE SNOW POTENTIAL. 35 REST OF THE REGION, EAST COAST, LOOKS OKAY. MIDWEST TO WEST COAST. Things look good here too. So let’s focus on our Thanksgiving forecast. THIS HIGH-RES DATA. This is just an indication that I’m arriving a little earlier in the morning, similar to tonight. And that’s not a lot of rain. GO THROUGH. AND THAT WOULD PLAY A ROLE IN THE TEMPERATURES, WHICH ARE MAYBE SOME DIGTS BELOW THE TEMPERATURES THAT ARE NOW ABOUT 74°. But if you look at a rougher and more comprehensive forecast, that forecast is much later. AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENS. There will be a lot more showers and possibly a thunderstorm. It would perhaps allow for slightly warmer air. Türkiye DAY RACE I had a chance of a shower, maybe some fog. CITY PARK. Things are looking good for us. I don’t think rain gear is a big deal. THANKSGIVING DAY FOR THE REST OF US. I still have a chance of scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm. WE WARM UP TO 75°C. COULD BE A STRONGER STORM WITH STRONG WIND GUST POTENTIAL. And even this evening, rain showers and thunderstorms are possible. TAILGATE. BUT AS WE PASS THROUGH THE GAME, the rain chances are starting to drop temperatures from around 70° to 60°. FRIDAY WILL BE A WINDY, MUCH COLDER DAY AND THE COOLING WILL HAVE THROUGH THE WEEKEND. So that means BAYOU CLASSIC went to the game. COMES OUT. With the coats you add, you will definitely want to add wind chill factors. IT FEELS EVEN COLDER. The same goes for the saints with the rams in the city. 1950s WITH TAILGATE. We have no chance of rain until Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but that cold will be a big part of the forecast. WDSU FIRST WARNING WEATHER FOR SEVEN DAYS. OH I FORGOT TO MENTION SOME FOG POTENTIAL OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS UNTIL THURSDAY MORNING. But then watch out for the cold and next week starts on Monday. PERHAPS SOME OF OUR FIRST COL

A storm system will primarily affect the western United States on Tuesday and Wednesday

A strong storm system could have the biggest impact on the Thanksgiving travel forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday. A widespread storm system will bring a river of weak atmosphere to northern and southern California on Tuesday, with rain and snow possible in both San Francisco and Los Angeles, the mountains of northern Utah and western Colorado. The same storm will move through the Intermountain West on Wednesday, ending snow over northern Utah but continuing to have snow in Denver. This is the only major airport I see that could have weather concerns and possible delays. The same storm will bring a chance of rain to New Orleans, southeast Louisiana and the East Coast on Thanksgiving Day. The return home should take place mainly on Saturday and Sunday from a weather perspective, with the exception of lake effect snowfalls in Buffalo, Erie and Cleveland. It will just be COLD in the rest of the country! We will continue to monitor and update this forecast throughout the holiday week.
