Mount Union football fans will have to wait until 2025 to see the Purple Raiders back in action.

Mount Union made it to the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl last weekend by defeating Johns Hopkins 45-37 in Alliance. This victory gave the Purple Raiders their 23rd NCAA Football Division III title game.

The Purple Raiders went 10-0 in the regular season this year and played two close games and one road game in the playoffs to reach the championship showdown.

Who will Mount Union Football play in the Stagg Bowl?

The Purple Raiders will face North Central (IL) for the NCAA Division III national title. This is the fifth straight year North Central has been in the title game.

The Cardinals have won two titles, including against Mount Union in 2022.

Where will the Stagg Bowl 2024 take place?

This year’s game will take place at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, Texas. The 20,656-capacity stadium is home to the Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer and the Houston Dash of the National Women’s Soccer League.
