Aerosmith icon Steven Tyler was spotted holding an ice pack to his face in a rare public appearance.

The 76-year-old music legend was spotted strolling through Beverly Hills, rocking his signature eclectic style with blue jeans and a statement fur scarf.

He completed the look with a simple black coat and blue and green sneakers, as well as a wide range of chunky rings on his fingers.

As Tyler walked through a parking garage, he appeared to be holding an ice pack on his jaw.

This came after Aerosmith announced in August that they had pulled out of concerts due to Tyler’s health issues.

The band, formed in 1970, had begun its tour in September 2023 but had to postpone a number of shows after the singer suffered a vocal injury to his vocal cords.

The “Walk This Way” hitmakers were forced to announce that Stevens’ “recovery from his vocal injury is not possible,” and they have made the “heartbreaking and difficult decision” to now step away from touring entirely.

In a statement on social media, the band thanked fans for their decades of support.

They wrote: “It was 1970 when a spark of inspiration gave birth to Aerosmith.” Thanks to you, our Blue Army, that spark ignited the fire and has burned for over five decades. Some of you have been with us since the beginning and you are all the reason we made rock ‘n’ roll history.

“It was an honor of a lifetime to have our music become part of your music.” In every club, on every major tour and in big and private moments, you have given us a place in the soundtrack of your life.

“We’ve always wanted to blow you away when we perform.” As you know, Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other. He has spent months working tirelessly to get his voice back to where it was before his injury. We saw him struggling despite having the best medical team by his side. Unfortunately, it is clear that a full recovery from his voice injury is not possible. “As a band of brothers, we have made the heartbreaking and difficult but necessary decision to step away from the touring stage.”

The conclusion was: We are indescribably grateful for everyone who was motivated to go on tour with us one last time. We thank our expert crew, our incredible team and the thousands of talented people who made our historic runs possible. A final thank you to you – the best fans on planet Earth. Play our music loud, now and always. Keep dreaming. You made our dreams come true.’

The band postponed the first 2023 tour dates and issued a statement informing fans of Steven’s health issues.

“To our fans: Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought.” “His doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he has also suffered a fractured larynx, which requires constant care,” it said.

“He is receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure a speedy recovery, but given the nature of the fracture he is advised that patience is essential.”

“Therefore, all currently planned PEACE OUT shows must be postponed until sometime in 2024. New dates will be announced as soon as we know more.”

Steven added in a separate message: “It breaks my heart not to be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world.” I promise we will as soon as possible be back!’

The band’s lineup has largely remained the same over the past five decades, with the other four members being Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford.

The multi-platinum selling band released a string of major hits over five decades, including Cryin’, Livin’ On The Edge and I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing, whose music video featured Steven’s daughter Liv Tyler.
