The actor known for the Atlanta-filmed film “Baby Driver” has died at the age of 16

A teen actor known for his role in “Baby Driver” and several voice acting roles has died. He was 16.

Hudson Meek died after falling from a moving car on December 21, the Jefferson County, Alabama, coroner’s office confirmed to AL.com.

His family confirmed the death in a statement on his Instagram account.

“It breaks our hearts to share that Hudson Meek has gone home to be with Jesus this evening. His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and made a significant impact on everyone he met,” they wrote.

Meek played the younger version of Ansel Elgort’s character Baby in the 2017 film Baby Driver. The film was filmed and filmed in Atlanta.

According to IMDB, his other acting credits include “MacGyver,” “Legacies,” “Genius: MLK/X,” and more.

His obituary described him as “self-confident, convinced of his convictions, spontaneous and quick-witted”.

“He never let the facts get in the way of a funny story and he loved friendly banter. He was a joker, loved a good joke and was happiest when making others laugh. Hudson thrived in environments that allowed him to meet and serve new people. “Hudson was a vibrant and dynamic person who lived life to the fullest,” it continued.

According to his obituary, Meek had filmed other projects before his death, scheduled for release in 2025.
