The Arizona Cardinals are making last-minute roster moves against the Los Angeles Rams

LOS ANGELES – The Arizona Cardinals have announced the following two roster moves ahead of their Week 17 game against the Los Angeles Rams:

“Elevated running back Michael Carter and security André Chachere (SASH-er-ay) to the active roster from the practice squad as standard heights

“Carter will wear jersey No. 22 and Chachere will wear jersey No. 36.”

Carter’s rise was expected as both James Conner and Trey Benson were listed as questionable entering SoFi Stadium while fellow teammate Emari Demercado was on injured reserve.

Conner will reportedly play – but we’ll get the official word when the inactives are announced 90 minutes before the game starts.

In last week’s loss to Carolina, Carter carried the ball five times for 18 yards and caught five balls for 30 yards. He could face a similar task again against Los Angeles.

With safety Joey Blount previously ruled out, Chachere will fill the role of another backup safety alongside Dadrion Taylor-Demerson and will likely handle special teams duties as Blount was a key third-team player for Arizona.

Chachere has played one game for the Cardinals this season.

Elijah Jones and Matt Prater were previously ruled out alongside Blount. In addition to Conner and Benson, Evan Brown and Baron Browning are also questionable.

The Cardinals are out of the playoffs but are hoping to take down the Rams, who are hoping to clinch the NFC West with a win and some help this weekend.

The Cardinals-Rams kick off at 5:00 p.m. local time here in Los Angeles, 6:00 p.m. AZ time.
