The Atlanta Falcons take the lead with two touchdowns from Bijan Robinson

LANDOVER, Md. – Through all the ups and downs of the Atlanta Falcons’ season, including a late quarterback change, Bijan Robinson has been the one constant.

The second-year running back scored his second touchdown against the Washington Commanders, giving the Falcons a 14-7 lead with 4:24 left in the first half on Sunday night.

Robinson’s performance was so impressive that he scored two goals in the same series – so to speak. Two plays before the goal, Robinson appeared to have crossed the goal line with a 4-yard run, but the play was called off after replay showed he left the field before the ball crossed the line.

After a quarterback sneak by Michael Penix Jr. failed, Atlanta gave the ball back to Robinson, who took a shotgun handoff and ran it in easily.

Robinson’s first touchdown run, also from one yard, came with 5:12 left in the first quarter and tied the game at 7. Robinson has scored eight touchdowns in the last seven games and 12 rushing touchdowns this season.
