The Bengals QB celebrates the late touchdown run against the Broncos

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, who leads the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns this season, made a pass after his touchdown run late in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s NFL Week 17 game against the Denver Broncos at Paycor Stadium the Griddy.

In the Bengals’ Week 16 win over Cleveland, Burrow became the NFL’s first 4,000-yard passer of the season. Entering the game, Burrow became the 11th quarterback in NFL history with at least 40 TD passes in a season.

During the win in Dallas, Burrow appeared to be limping shortly after Cowboys rookie Marist Liufau grabbed and twisted his facemask, and during the broadcast he was shown pulling a sleeve over his left knee. The injury did not force Burrow from the game.

Two days later, the NFL announced that it would consider using replay assistance for face mask penalties.

Former Bengals QB Carson Palmer said earlier this month that he was concerned about the “frustration on (Burrows’) face.”

Burrow said after Monday’s game that he is confident the Bengals can get receiver Tee Higgins for next season.

During a loss to the Chargers in Week 11, Burrow became the league’s first quarterback with 3,000 passing yards this season. He also made NFL history with his impressive stats in consecutive losses.
