Move over, Borderlands movie no one has seen: Borderlands is back. The first trailer for Borderlands 4 is here, full of cinematics, gameplay and the adrenaline-pumping comedy style the series has become known for.

As teased/squashed by Gearbox Software founder Randy Pitchford in the days leading up to the 2024 Game Awards, the trailer too Borderlands 4 offers fans and skeptics alike a look at the first mainline entry in the Borderlands series in five years. While Tiny Tina’s Wonderland and Telltales Stories from the border areas has kept Gearbox running over the years, Borderlands 4 returns to the basics of vault hunting – and finds the studio owned by publisher Take-Two Interactive, which acquired it from Embracer Group in March.
