The British-Irish drama starring Iwan Rheon is now available on Netflix

Rivierawhich originally aired on Sky in 2017, has just been added to Netflix.

With a cast that also includes Julia Stiles (10 things I hate about you), Ivan Rheon (game of Thrones), Lena Olin (hunter), Roxane Duran (Interview with the vampire) and Juliet Stevenson (Professor T), Riviera spanned three seasons.

The series centers on Georgina Clios (Stiles), an American art expert whose life is turned upside down when her super-rich husband suddenly dies in a yachting accident. She finds herself drawn into all sorts of – and tricky – situations as she tries to find out the truth about what actually happened to him.

The series is a British-Irish drama and was created by Irish film director and screenwriter Neil Jordan. Riviera was a hit for Sky and became the most successful original series in its first season (via diversity).

This isn’t the first Sky show to find a new home on Netflix. Last Gangs of London fell back into trend as the first two seasons reached a new audience on the streaming platform just in time Gangs of London Season three is coming.

Michelle Keegan’s award-winning Sky comedy Brass The series also celebrated a successful debut on Netflix, where the first four seasons were still available to stream.

What RivieraJulia Stiles revealed back in 2022 that there were no plans for a fourth season of the former Sky drama.

“I loved doing this show,” she said during an interview with Radio Times.

The actress said that “there were talks about doing another season” but then the pandemic hit – but Stiles also added that she would be “totally open to maybe doing a film adaptation of it or something.”

There have been no official updates on a possible return Riviera since.
