The Broncos’ Riley Moss is out, Josh Reynolds is questionable against the Browns

Broncos cornerback Riley Moss has been ruled out for Monday night’s game against the Cleveland Browns.

Moss was unable to practice this week due to a knee injury he suffered in the second quarter of the Week 12 win over the Raiders. Head coach Sean Payton said the former Iowa star suffered an MCL injury and there are discussions about getting him back into the game. However, he remained out while veteran cornerback Levi Wallace stepped in and played 49 defensive snaps.

Moss was the only member of the active roster not present during the viewing portion of Saturday’s practice.

Wallace, who spent the last two seasons in Pittsburgh, could make his second start this season. After being sidelined with a concussion in last month’s win over the Saints, cornerback Pat Surtain II filled in at outside cornerback and totaled eight tackles in 66 defensive snaps.

In other injury news, Denver’s defense is getting reinforcements in the trenches, with Zach Allen (heel/ankle) expected to play Monday night. The starting defensive end missed his first game as a Bronco last week but participated fully in practice this week.

The use of wide receiver Josh Reynolds (hand) is questionable. Reynolds returned to training earlier this month after being placed on injured reserve following minor finger surgery last month. He suffered the injury when he fell to the ground after his touchdown catch in the fourth quarter of the team’s Week 5 win over the Raiders.

According to an affidavit filed against one of the defendants in late October, the veteran wide receiver was also shot in an incident that occurred around 3 a.m. on Oct. 18 in Denver. According to the affidavit, the shooting occurred after he and two other men were followed as they left the Shotgun Willies strip club in Glendale.

The Broncos have until Tuesday to decide whether to activate Reynolds from injured reserve.
