In the hit Netflix series Virgin River, the highly anticipated wedding between lead characters Mel and Jack was a lavish, dreamy affair attended by the entire town.

Immediately following the season’s release last week, Netflix gave a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes of the compilation, from incorporating props from past seasons to incorporating elements like river rocks that symbolize the couple’s relationship.

“It’s a huge wedding,” Alexandra Breckenridge, who plays Mel Monroe, says in the video. “To be honest, I was surprised by it. I thought it would be quite small and intimate, on a river bank somewhere.”
