OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently asked his social media followers which company to build next and/or how it could improve in 2025, as he appears to be crowdsourcing ideas to improve OpenAI’s current products ChatGPTand even help shape future developments.
“What should OpenAI develop/fix in 2025?” Altman asked in his X post.

OpenAI CEO likes user suggestions

According to OpenAI’s website, ChatGPT is not intended for children under 13 and requires parental consent for users ages 13 to 18, although such consent is not actively verified.
In response to Altman’s post, one X user wrote: “Family accounts. Let me create accounts for my children with guardrails. Allow their curiosity to run wild, but within reasonable limits set by parents. Maybe we could even gain insights about our children by using them!”
“That’s a good idea!” Altman wrote a response to this.

Another user had a suggestion for the ChatGPT Language function This allows users to speak directly to the chatbot. The user wrote: “Better turn detection for voice chats. It’s a shame you can’t just think quietly for five seconds without being interrupted.”
“Good point” Altman replied.

Meanwhile, a third user mentioned: “Just do it sora really good.”
Altman replied: “Come.”

In addition, other users also asked OpenAI CEO Sam Altman to improve Sora Text-to-video model that generates videos based on written prompts. After a pilot phase in February with a limited group of developers, Sora launched earlier this month.
According to Rohan Sahai, Sora’s head of product, this model aims to balance creative expression with protections against issues such as copyright infringement.
This proposal initiative comes after a tumultuous year for OpenAI, marked by both significant successes and litigation. Despite facing a lawsuit from former board member and co-founder Elon Musk (filed, withdrawn, and then refiled over deception allegations), OpenAI secured a $6.6 billion funding round in October, bringing the company’s value to $157 billion US dollar increased.
