The Chiefs add Hollywood Brown to their depleted offense at the perfect time in Week 16

No one wanted Brown to get injured, but his return comes at just the right time for this Chiefs offense.

When a team is tasked with playing three games in 11 days, which is what the National Football League is asking the Kansas City Chiefs to do here at the end of the 2024 regular season, then it definitely helps to have rested reinforcements who can contribute , giving the squad a slight edge. A look at the day’s inactive list shows KC accomplishing exactly that.

After a shorter week of preparation, the Chiefs see their way to the active roster (and active roster) in Week 16 when they host the Houston Texans. Just six days after playing the Cleveland Browns in Week 15, the Chiefs host the Texans in hopes of winning their 14th game of the year.

To help the cause, the Chiefs are excited to bring the talent and experience of wide receiver Hollywood Brown into the mix for the first time this season.

The Chiefs signed Brown to a one-year deal this offseason, which was obviously a bet on himself for the veteran wide receiver. His final season in Arizona hardly went as hoped, and it made sense for Brown to team up with Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes to rebuild his market value. The offseason chemistry was obvious and instantaneous, but Brown was lost when he injured his collarbone in the team’s opening game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Brown has been out for the entire season since early August, but recent reports suggest he is targeting a late-season return despite undergoing surgery for the injury, and now he is making his debut for the Chiefs with just three games to go – a Ideal time to get to grips with the offense before the games really matter most.

As for the Chiefs, they Are inactive on Saturday against the Cleveland Browns, here is the full list.
