The coldest air of the season moves in

It’s a cold start on the Gulf Coast with temperatures in the 40s and 50s ahead. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s under mostly sunny skies. With no rain forecast, all you need today is a light jacket. Tonight will be the coldest night of the season so far, with temperatures dropping into the mid 40s. Next week will be characterized by stable, dry air allowing for mostly sunny skies and cold conditions. Highs will slowly change, warming back into the upper 70s by the weekend. Low temperatures will remain cool and in the 40s for the next few nights. By the weekend, lows will climb back into the mid to upper 50s. While our entire region remains drought-free, inland areas are starting to become slightly drier than usual. There are no signs of significant rain in the first week of December.
