(CBS DETROIT) – The Detroit Lions (12-2) visit the Chicago Bears (4-10) on Sunday, hoping to bounce back from a narrow loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 15.

“We have to take advantage and maximize the reps we have for him and make sure we don’t give him too much,” Campbell said. “We still have to be smart with him, but we need him. We need him and that’s the trick.”

Ifeatu Melifonwu is listed as activeAccording to the team, he is expected to make his season debut against the Bears. Melifonwu has been out since September with an ankle injury.

The Bears have lost eight straight games and are coming off a 30-12 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Chicago has been outscored 73-20 overall in the first quarter this season, including 27-0 in its last three games. During that span, opponents had a first-half lead of 53-0.

Injuries

Montgomery and offensive lineman Graham Glasgow are inactive for Sunday’s game, the Lions announced.
