The “Dream Productions” premiere garners 5.6 million views in five days

Goodbye fear, hello joy! Pixar’s Dream productions is off to a promising start on Disney+.

The first episode received 5.6 million views worldwide in its first five days of broadcast, making it the streamer’s biggest animated series premiere since then What if…? debuted in 2021, according to Disney.

As a reminder, Disney defines “views” as total stream time divided by runtime, similar to Netflix. Disney hasn’t released numbers for the premiere of What if…? three years ago. However, the company announced this in March X Men ’97 had become the biggest animated series since then, with 4 million views in five days. This title has remained until now.

Dream productions has exceeded that and is up 40% X-Men ’97’The streamer’s five-day record suggests a pretty strong performance from the miniseries, at least compared to the streamer’s other animated content.

The four-part miniseries, released December 11, explores the inner workings of the studio behind Riley’s dreams.

It follows on the heels of Inside Out 2′s monster year and became the most successful animated film of all time. It’s also the top movie premiere on Disney+ this year.
