With their win over the Cowboys on Sunday, the Eagles secured the NFC East title and at least the number 2 seed in the NFC.

Despite not having starting quarterback Jalen Hurts, the Eagles defeated the Cowboys 41-7 and won their secondary title under Nick Sirianni.

Against the Cowboys, Kenny Pickett and then Tanner McKee played well and the Eagles forced several turnovers in the big win.

The Eagles also won the division in 2022 en route to a Super Bowl appearance. Amazingly, the NFC East hasn’t had a repeat division winner since the Eagles, who made it four straight seasons from 2001-04 under Andy Reid.

This is the 13th all-time NFC East title since the division was founded in 1967.

This season, the Eagles clinched their spot in the playoffs a few weeks ago, but missed a chance to clinch the division last week when they lost to the Commanders. This game left open the possibility that the Commanders could still win the division.

The most likely outcome is that the Eagles will be the No. 2 seed in the playoffs, which could lead to a rematch against the Commanders in the wild-card round.

Right now, there’s still technically a slim chance the Eagles could snag the No. 1 pick. But if the Vikings beat the Packers on Sunday afternoon or If the Lions beat the 49ers on Monday night, the Eagles will be seeded No. 2.

If the Eagles stay at No. 2, they could decide to rest some starters in next week’s regular-season finale against the Giants.
