“This may be the end, but Cobra Kai never dies!”

Maybe not, but Cobra Kai The series is finally coming to an end – and today Netflix announced that the final five episodes of their hit karate comedy will be released on Thursday, February 13th. The streamer also released a teaser and seven new first-look photos to give fans a glimpse of how the epic story of two dojos – Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do – will end.

In addition to the tantalizing image of Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) practicing the Crane Kick Stand together (above), the new images suggest that the Sekai Taikai competition – the one in Season 6, Episode 10 after, abruptly ended Kwon (Brandon H. Lee) accidentally impaled himself with a knife – will continue in some form.

The Miyagi-Do team – including Robby (Tanner Buchanan) and Sam LaRusso (Mary Mouser) – and Iron Wolf competitors Axel (Patrick Luwis) and Zara (Rayna Vallandingham) are all dressed in their gis and ready for battle. Tory Nichols (Peyton List), former Miyagi-Do student and current Cobra Kai teammate, can also be seen in the new images.

Schlossberg, meanwhile, compared the last episodes with The Empire strikes backand said: “We knew that the middle block of these three parts…would end with this grim question: ‘What the hell is going to happen next?’ space,” he said. “The final five will end in a denouement. Ewoks will cheer and everything will be fine, depending on who you support on the show.”
