The great threat has come to an end, much nicer on Sunday

Fortunately, the great threat to the entire viewing area has finally come to an end. The rest of the weekend will be characterized by lots of sunshine and pleasant temperatures.

Tonight and tomorrow: A cold front will move through the area and the rest of the night will be significantly quieter. Low temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s with noticeably lower humidity. There will be calmer weather on Sunday as the front has moved through the region, but there will be no major temperature change. High temperatures will still fall into the low 70s.

Next: Above-average values will be a theme for the rest of 2024. Monday and Tuesday will have highs in the low to mid 70s and lows in the 50s, and it won’t feel as sticky out there. Clouds will mix with the sky at times, but no further precipitation is forecast. A stronger cold front will move through on New Year’s Eve, followed by cooler air and the start of 2025. Highs will climb back into the 60s.
