The Los Angeles Lakers will certainly have a Merry Christmas.

They defeated the Golden State Warriors 115-113 on Wednesday behind a game-winning layup by Austin Reaves, capping a memorable holiday game.

Los Angeles had a nine-point lead with 1:30 left in regulation. But Golden State rallied and tied the game with seven seconds left on a three-pointer from Stephen Curry – their second consecutive three-pointer in the final minute. Reaves responded on the ensuing possession. Curry’s throw hit the backboard with one second left, giving the Lakers a wild win.

According to ESPN Research, Los Angeles’ two-point win is the smallest Christmas Day game margin since 2016, when the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Curry and Warriors by one point.

This is how the sports world reacted to the Lakers’ victory.
