Another salvo has been fired in the ongoing MAGA civil war playing out online between die-hard America First supporters and Trump-supporting Silicon Valley oligarchs over an immigrant visa program – and now Elon Musk is being accused of personally punishing his critics have.

Laura Loomer and other far-right activists who have railed against the Verification badges and the ability to monetize removed their accounts in an act of retaliation.

“(Musk) has my blue check mark with me

A self-proclaimed “proud Islamophobe” who was famously banned from Twitter before Musk bought the social media platform, Loomer also took the Tesla CEO to task for boasting that he was a “free speech absolutist” while he was at the same time silencing his critics – a pattern that has prevailed before.

“It looks like Elon Musk is silencing me because I support the original Trump immigration policies,” she wrote. “I have always been America First and a strong supporter of President Trump, and I believe that promises made should be kept. Donald Trump has promised to eliminate the H1B visa program and I support his policies. Now, as one of Trump’s biggest supporters, I’m being silenced by a tech billionaire for simply questioning the tech oligarchy.”

Loomer added: “Elon has decided to get revenge by withdrawing my blue check and demonizing me. I guess he doesn’t really believe in free speech after all.”

The failed Republican congressional candidate wasn’t the only “OG MAGA” critic of Musk to say they would suddenly have their X account privileges revoked as the Trump coalition bickers over high-skilled immigrants.

Dozens of other far-right influencers and pro-Trump activists, including Infowars host Owen Shroyer, MAGA group ConservativePAC, New York Young Republican Club president Gavin Wax and Women for America First executive director Kylie Jane Kremer, claimed , Musk has taken over and removed blue ticks.

“X removed my checkmark. I have no idea why,” posted Ryan Fournier, president of Students for Trump. “I haven’t updated anything and my @ConservativeOG badge has been removed. I have been verified since 2016. Strange.”

Loomer also dismissed claims from Musk allies that her verification was temporarily removed because she changed her profile picture, calling it “a lie from I dared to criticize H1B visas today.”

A representative for X did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

While Musk didn’t directly respond to claims that he had revoked Loomer and others’ , itself can be categorized – correctly.” – as spam.”

X Spaces host and Musk supporter Mario Nawfal claimed the world’s richest man essentially said, “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes,” prompting Musk to agree with him.

Raheem Kassam, editor of National Pulse and co-founder of War Room, responded to Loomer’s loss of the blue checkmark with a sentiment that seemed to be shared across the MAGAsphere. “This is unreal. “Meet the new boss, just like the old boss,” he tweeted.

“We welcomed the tech bros as they came running toward us to avoid the third-grade teacher picking the gender of their child — and the obvious Biden/Harris economic decline,” the disgraced former noted GOP Congressman Matt Gaetz. “We didn’t ask them to develop an immigration policy.”

The uneasy and tenuous alliance between rank-and-file Trump supporters and late-comer tech brethren would almost certainly collapse at some point, especially considering the tech industry’s reliance on engineers and other highly skilled workers from abroad .

But this week, the tension simmering beneath the surface quickly boiled over when Trump appointed Indian-American venture capitalist Sriram Krishnan as an artificial intelligence adviser. Soon, Loomer and others brought up Krishnan’s advocacy for lifting country caps on green cards, particularly India.

In addition to criticizing H-1B visas, which Trump has long said he wanted to severely restrict, Loomer criticized a series of racist and bigoted attacks against Indians, including claims that people from India generally have low intelligence.

Meanwhile, Musk and Ramaswamy’s defense of Krishnan has only further angered the far-right base by emphasizing the need to import foreign workers, which is at odds with MAGA’s anti-immigrant position. To make matters worse, Ramaswamy argued that “for far too long, American culture has revered mediocrity over excellence,” while simultaneously placing blame for it Saved by the bell because of the shortage of qualified American engineers.

Musk, whose sudden rise as Trump’s “first buddy” has made him a target within the MAGA tent, continues to tread the minefield with his incessant comments on the topic.

At one point Thursday night, the mega-billionaire agreed with a pro-Musk conservative narrative that “the technology is right” to hire foreign engineers because American workers are “disabled,” echoing the “America First” crowd didn’t exactly make anyone popular.

“That pretty much sums it up,” Musk said. “That was eye-opening.”

Meanwhile, Trump himself has yet to comment as the online war has exploded in the public eye – although cracks have already started to form in his relationship with the tech mogul.
