The most annoying people of 2024. The left and the right can agree on at least two

The most annoying people of 2024. The left and the right can agree on at least two

The year is coming to an end and, shockingly, it was less dramatic than most people predicted. Even included. Last year’s annoying list focused on the enemies of reason like teachers union leader Randi Weingarten and Greta Thunberg, climate extremist-turned-full-time left-wing activist.

Of course, there was still drama in 2024. A lot of this can be attributed to some of his annoying people, and there are too many to list here. We can make fun of the worst of them.

Let’s start with a bipartisan spirit. Both left and right find MSNBC “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski super annoying. I’m basically a founding member of the “Joe is a Joke” caucus. Until recently it was a predominantly conservative clique.

The viewThe view

The co-hosts of “The View” discuss President-elect Trump’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.

They have spent years saying terrible things about President-elect Trump and other conservatives. Scarborough’s lie about President Biden’s coherence earned him the “worst quote of the year” from the Media Research Center. Scarborough told the audience, “This version of Biden is intellectually and analytically the best Biden ever.” He threw in an “F—you” for good measure. Notably, both he and Biden are still working.

Olbermann recommends that his former network “Fire Mika And Joe” Scarborough focus more on left-wing content

After that lie, the two paid “Morning Joe” Trump a visit and alienated their far-left base by Scarborough telling viewers they needed to “grow up.” Her ratings have only increased since then. MSNBC had to add another anchor and left-hander Keith Olberman says it’s time for Scarborough and Brzezinski to go. Here’s Variety’s headline: “Keith Olbermann: How Can MSNBC Save Itself After Trump’s Victory?” First step: fire Mika and Joe.”

He is anything but alone. Bluesky is full of hatred for the couple and their show. I would be surprised if they still had a show on MSNBC until Christmas 2025. I bet that would be the case too.

Taylor Lorenz is a social media sensation in every sense of the word.

Me, me, me, me. This is the voice of narcissistic journalism – Taylor Lorenz. She previously wrote about technology and social media for the New York Times, Washington Post, etc. She is a social media sensation in every sense. She has over half a million followers on TikTok and another half a million combined on Twitter and Bluesky. Now she has a Substack readership where she promotes COVID-19 paranoia and hatred of healthcare CEOs.

Nyt columnist throws in the towel over the “Never Trump” label: “We never fully understood the meaning of the MAGA movement.”

She left traditional journalism in August after posting what she said was an “obvious meme” in which she called Biden a “war criminal.” Then she was taken to task for saying she felt “joy” after the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, which she now says was “dubiously redacted.” And she usually wears a mask and criticizes those who don’t wear a mask, saying, “She floats into the air and spits her disease-laden breath all over your elderly neighbors.”

To top it off, she got into an online argument with statistician Nate Silver about her age. Still listed as “Age 37-39” on her Wikipedia profile, Lorenz mocked him by saying, “Just assume I’m 50!” (According to Soap Central, the actual number is 40, for those who who take care of it.)

But all of these things got people talking about her. This is the true measure of Millennial or Generation X success.

Jason Kelce reveals what he regrets most about the Penn State fan incident

In the normal world there is only one Taylor – Taylor Swift. It’s easy to admire Swift and her football star boyfriend Travis Kelce. (She was one of my Superstars of 2023.) Both had successful years. Her Eras tour went great and Celebrity Net Worth says she is now worth $1.5 billion. Her boyfriend remains one of the NFL’s top tight ends and his team is the favorite of fans and referees looking for a third straight Super Bowl. (Boo here.)

The problem is, I’m tired of her. Be honest: If you don’t think of yourself as a “Swiftie,” you are. Happens to everyone in public so often that it makes your eyes twitch. Still, I wish them both individually and as a couple much success in 2025. (Except the Super Bowl.)

When it comes to race-baiting, MSNBC host Al Sharpton outdoes himself, even spreading the Tawana Brawley rape hoax. Then there is his anti-Semitism. But 2024 brought him into the spotlight with something new – the accusation of paying to play.

After the election, it was revealed that Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign had donated $500,000 to Sharpton’s National Action Network. That might be fine, unless it happened right before a super nice interview in October. Oops.

I could write an entire column about the horror that is “The View.” Or 10. I really wanted to highlight how terrible co-host Sunny Hostin is because she managed to outshine her colleagues by being the most despicable jerk on ABC’s Clown Car.

Hostin called Republicans “morally bankrupt” and blamed “misogyny and sexism” for Hispanics’ support for Trump. She also advocated for families of Trump supporters to boycott during the holidays because it’s “more of a moral issue.”

But they had to go one step further. Fellow hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar discussed why they hadn’t seen Vice President-elect JD Vance recently. Behar claimed, “He’s plotting the presidency if they get rid of Trump.”

Whoopi replied, “So you think it’s Musk/Vance?”

Whoopi added: “Stay away from the stairs. Because, you know, people stick out their leg to trip you up the stairs. Watch out.”

They later claimed it was a joke, but that’s pretty dark, especially for three women named Sunny, Joy and Whoopi.
