The Illuminate Return

Since the Illuminati have been missing for nearly a century, they will pose a greater challenge to our recruits than the other factions they have faced. They are advanced, highly intelligent beings who possess powerful technology that seems like some kind of dark magic to the average person.

At the end of the First Galactic War, the Helldivers worked together to eradicate the Illuminati. We believed we were successful and lived in relative peace for nearly 100 years, keeping the threats of terminids and automatons at bay. Thanks to our continuous recruitment and training of new Helldivers, we have been able to maintain both fronts with complete, unqualified success.

But now the Illuminati have appeared seemingly out of nowhere. Even though we don’t know the true origin of the invasion, we now have no choice but to suppress three factions in the Galactic War.

The Illuminati spreads through mind control, kidnapping citizens with less devotion to democratic ideals and brainwashing them for a dark purpose still unknown to us. These mind-controlled citizens have been twisted and corrupted into a threat we call “The Voteless – Super Earth.” Their own people turned against the principles of democracy and fair elections and completely lost their ability to vote.

The intentions behind the Illuminati invasion are still unclear. For now, they remain as smaller bands of insurgents, staging attacks, building mysterious structures and kidnapping citizens before disappearing again.

It is up to us to stop them from extending their totalitarian tentacles even deeper into the realm of Super-Earth.

The fight on our doorstep

Omens of Tyranny takes the fight to the streets, with new mission areas across Super Earth’s many colonies.

Our colonies are being ravaged by these invaders, turning our once bright and sunny streets full of smiling citizens into dark ruins overrun by voters and the enlightened. Arm yourself with your trusted tools of destruction and rid our colonies of this scum.

But it won’t be easy. Gone are the wide open spaces in which Helldivers are accustomed to fighting. Cities mean tighter neighborhoods, dark alleys and branching paths where a wrong turn means encountering a horde of voteless people to free them. You’ll need your best and brightest squad to master it carefully.

With all these new developments, there will no longer be time to complete driver training. Courses, Helldiver. A fast reconnaissance vehicle “FRV” now appears in the colonies, ready to plow through the Illuminati at high speed.

Continue to follow the important orders of the Super Earth High Command and you will receive the keys to your innermost being own FRV – a brand new, high-end reconnaissance and combat vehicle with a manual transmission. The entire squad can ride together, and your passengers can even lean out of the windows to fire suppressive fire as you change gears and race to your next destination. Only one question remains: who is driving?
