  • 👀 Another leak about the Nintendo Switch 2 has revealed the potential design of the console

  • 🤔 It’s the same design that has been doing the rounds and comes from different sources

  • 🏭 The latest leak comes from another Chinese third-party accessory manufacturer

  • 📆 Nintendo has promised to release its console before March 31, 2025

Nintendo might want to hire some famous Italian plumbers because leaks are popping up everywhere.

Another Chinese manufacturer has shared images of its upcoming model Nintendo Switch 2 accessory, and once again we see a familiar design doing the rounds.

The new images were shared on Facebook by Towkay Vortex, who said: “The Switch accessory company just emailed me that there will be three models of Switch 2 accessories. Would you like to order the case first?”

The console looks exactly like that Nintendo Switch 2 design model that YouTuber received SwitchUp, which was also provided by a Chinese manufacturer.

We see the same large 8-inch display, slightly larger Joy-Con controllers – complete with the new rear button – and a USB-C port at the top next to the headphone jack and game card slot.

The design also fits previous Nintendo Switch 2 leaksincluding Pictures of the Joy-Con controllers. It seems unlikely that a manufacturer would make accessories if they weren’t clear about the console’s dimensions and features. So it’s hard not to conclude that these images – and others we’ve seen – are actually the Nintendo Switch 2.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Nintendo has opted to essentially stick with the Switch OLED design. Aside from a larger screen, a few tweaks like more ventilation and the mysterious back buttons on the Joy-Con, little has changed.

Apparently it’s what’s inside that makes the Nintendo Switch 2 so exciting. The console’s power and performance remain up for debate, but hopefully Nintendo will reveal everything soon. The Japanese company has promised to announce its Switch successor before March 31, 2025.

However, with the console seemingly already out, Nintendo may want to accelerate its plans. Many thought we would see the Switch 2 announcement back in September, but now it looks like January is now dead.

Nintendo will want to make sure its console is ready to go, especially now that Microsoft has all but confirmed it is working on a console Xbox handheld and it seems that Sony is also working on a new PlayStation Portable, right PSP2. Add portable PCs like the Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally Xand the handheld landscape is much more competitive and vibrant than it was when the Nintendo Switch launched in 2017.
