The Eagles and Ravens entered Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium as two potential Super Bowl favorites, with the Nos. 1 and 2 picks on their rosters. The game featured two-star quarterbacks, but all eyes were on Saquon Barkley (Eagles) and Derrick Henry (Ravens).

Both players were relatively quiet in the first half, but that changed in the second half when Barkley took a handoff from 25 yards for a touchdown that put Philadelphia up 21-12 midway through the fourth quarter. Eagles fans travel well and it sounded like a home game as fans chanted “MVP, MVP” at M&T Bank Stadium.

With 5:21 left in the fourth quarter, Barkley had 17 carries for 99 yards (5.8 average) and the touchdown. Henry had 19 carries for 82 yards (4.3 average) and no touchdowns.

The NFL world reacts to everything, and Barkley’s shining moment was no different.
