The Packers pick up their 10th win, defeating the Seahawks 30-13

SEATTLE – The Packers took an early lead and remained in control for most of Sunday night’s game at Lumen Field in Seattle, eventually defeating the Seahawks 30-13.

Green Bay improved to 10-4 and is close to securing a playoff spot, while Seattle fell to 8-6 and shares first place with the LA Rams in the NFC West.

The Packers scored touchdowns on their first two drives of the game to take a 14-0 lead, which they extended to 20-3 at halftime. The lead was 23-6 early in the fourth quarter as Green Bay’s offense faltered and made mistakes, including a fumble by RB Josh Jacobs, who otherwise had an outstanding game with 142 yards rushing and a touchdown.

Seattle got within 23-13 and got the ball back after a failed fourth down at the Seahawks’ 40-yard line with about six minutes left. But Seattle was playing with backup quarterback Sam Howell at the time because starter Geno Smith was out with a knee injury.

A sack by Howell, Green Bay’s sixth of seven of the game, followed by rookie LB Edgerrin Cooper’s first interception, set up the game-winning touchdown pass to WR Romeo Doubs that ultimately clinched the game.

For the Packers, QB Jordan Love was 20 of 27 for 229 yards with two touchdowns for a passer rating of 123.8. Jacobs had 26 carries for 94 yards and a touchdown and added four catches for 42 yards in the passing game for a total of 136 yards.

WR Christian Watson had three catches for 56 yards and Doubs had three for 40 and both of Love’s touchdowns. WR Jayden Reed had 61 yards from scrimmage, 27 rushing yards on three carries and 34 receiving yards on five catches.

For the Seahawks, who finished with just 208 total yards, Smith was 15 of 19 for 149 yards with one INT for a 77.4 rating before leaving the game. Rookie CB Carrington Valentine picked off Smith in the end zone for his first career INT in the first half to thwart a potential Seattle scoring attack.

Howell was 5 of 14 for 24 yards with one INT for a rating of 14.6. RB Zach Charbonnet had eight carries for 54 yards, including a 24-yard TD, and WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba had 10 catches for 83 yards.
