The Ravens are on the heels of the Bills, the battle for the divisional round is imminent; Rams and Texans jump up

And now there are eight of us left.

It’s officially offseason for three-quarters of the NFL, including six teams fresh from Wild Card Weekend. I’ll be taking a look at what’s next for these half dozen organizations, with some really interesting quarterback situations among the topics of conversation.

But the real meat is the upcoming divisional round. Pound for pound this is the best weekend of football I say. And after five of the six wild card games were decided by two or more points, getting four bangers in this round would be just the ticket.

The matchups look pretty great on paper and are already in full swing heading into Sunday night.

The Texans start the weekend showing their best performance in at least a month. Can they return to Arrowhead and catch the Chiefs after their extended layoff?

Commanders-Lions is our Saturday night special, as exciting a match as you could hope for at this point. Jayden Daniels against the Lions’ injury-plagued but resilient defense.

The fearless, fighting Rams will fly to Philadelphia on emotion, having just beaten the Vikings with relative ease by 14 wins. Are the Eagles ready for Sunday’s opener?

The whole thing is rounded off by the supposed centerpiece of the weekend: Ravens at Bills. You know the storylines currently being led by arguably the two most dangerous quarterbacks in the NFL. It just feels like a real toss-up game, so much so that I’ve got the Ravens moving up in these rankings and they’re right on the heels of the Bills. If Buffalo hadn’t recovered from Denver’s opening goal and put the Broncos away for good, I probably would have taken the Ravens ahead of the Bills. Sunday evening will decide whether I made the right call or not. The way Baltimore is playing, I’m willing to look bad.
