The Ravens win the AFC North Division with a 35-10 victory over the Browns

For the second year in a row, the Ravens are AFC North Division champions after defeating the Cleveland Browns 35-10. They will now host an NFL Wild Card game next week when the playoffs begin. Decimated by injuries and starting their fourth quarterback this season, the Browns played inspired football for a team that had nothing to play for. That wasn’t enough as the Ravens took care of business in dominant fashion. The Ravens looked good on both sides of the ball and several players set career marks in this game. Lamar Jackson became the first quarterback in NFL history with 4,000 passing yards and 900 rushing yards. He finished the season with 41 touchdown passes and just four interceptions, giving him the fewest number of snaps for a quarterback with 40 touchdowns in a season. Derrick Henry added his 15th rushing touchdown to his record-setting season, breaking Jamal Lewis’ Ravens record. He finished the game with 138 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Rashod Bateman stepped up after Zay Flowers was sidelined with a knee injury and finished the game with 76 yards and a touchdown, while Mark Andrews had several big catches, including a touchdown in the first half. The defense also contributed its share of plays, with Kyle Van Noy contributing to his team-leading 12.5 sacks and Odafe Oweh setting a career high with his 10th sack. Rookie cornerback Nate Wiggins also had the game of his season with a pick-six touchdown on the Browns’ second drive of the game. The highlight for the defense came late in the fourth when 300-pound defensive lineman Michael Peirce intercepted a pass and secured the win for the Ravens. There were some injury concerns that came out of this game. Flowers left the game in the second quarter after suffering a knee injury and did not return to the game. He wasn’t seen on the sidelines in the second half either. Safety Kyle Hamilton appeared to suffer a hand injury in the first half and appeared to suffer a stinger after a tackle in the second half. He would return both times after getting injured, so he should be fine going forward. There was no information immediately after the game about the severity of Flowers’ injury.
