The second season finale of “Lioness” spells doom for “Yellowstone.”

No other television series moves like this lioness. I’m at the point where you could convince me that the CIA drama takes place just a few days earlier Crazy MaxSurvivors of the apocalypse start their motorcycles. Even the most random crimes lead to potential global nuclear conflicts in the blink of an eye. The average speed in this show is 200 miles per hour and the only acceptable speaking volume is at maximum volume. lioness Season 2 didn’t just subdue the shark – it even shot its brains out.

Where do I even begin? At the beginning of the Paramount series, viewers were led to believe that the kidnapping of a Texas congresswoman across the U.S.-Mexico border would somehow lead to China invading Taiwan. (I know. That’s crazy in and of itself.) Joe (Zoe Saldaña) began training a new lioness to help the team take down a Chinese agent in Mexico who had planned the whole operation, but this plan already failed in episode 4. In the middle of the second season, the lioness team uncovered a child trafficking ring and blew up the entire operation. Then a meeting with senior CIA members in last week’s episode completely corrected the show. Now Joe and her team are tasked with eliminating two Chinese nuclear scientists in Hakkari, Türkiye. Oh, and did I mention Joe almost died?

As I recover from the whiplash, I’m reminded of another Taylor Sheridan series that recently drove viewers crazy. Yes, I’m talking about that Yellowstone. The author has killed off several characters in recent weeks, including his lead actor (Kevin Costner). After this clusterfuck from a lioness Finale, I’m incredibly worried Yellowstoneis the last episode next week. A lot of that concern has to do with Sheridan’s work both behind the scenes and in front of the camera. The author doesn’t just put Joe’s team in crazy situations – he saves the day himself.

Lioness Season 2

Rule #1 about helicopters in movies and TV: you will go. Of utmost importance

Let me sketch the scene for you. As planned, Carrillo (Genesis Rodriguez) and Cruz (Laysla De Oliveira) board an attack helicopter and destroy the unsuspecting Iranians and the two Chinese scientists. Mission accomplished. It’s over. Let’s go home. However, Joe’s team only consists of about five or six people, so the Iranian compound quickly floods the battlefield with a hundred confused infantrymen ready to take revenge. Carrillo’s helicopter is shot down. She can barely walk when she frees herself from the rubble. Luckily, reinforcements arrive just as Carrillo lets out a desperate scream.

Oh, what is that? It’s a bird! It’s a plane!! It’s Taylor Sheridan!!!

Like Bradley Cooper American sniperComes Sheridan’s Delta Force character and takes out twenty to thirty Iranian fighters like it’s child’s play. “It’s a piece of cake,” he says. Sheridan then blows up the underbelly of a tank, eliminating everyone inside. He kills a few dozen more Iranian soldiers before reinforcements arrive. “Right on time,” says Secretary of State Morgan Freeman, watching a video feed in his war room. America is witnessing yet another sunrise… all thanks to Taylor Sheridan.

Joe returns home to find her husband (Dave Annabele) waiting for her outside. He’s not even angry anymore. They’re just lucky she came back alive. “If I had a family and kids, I would have sent a rocket,” Cruz tells Joe. “No,” she replies. “You wouldn’t.”

What about the cartel? The child trafficking ring? The Chinese threat to invade Taiwan? Is America waging a mini-war in Iran? Forget it. Credits roll. We’re done here. Dear readers, I wish I was joking.

Lioness Season 2

The second season finale is full of classic CIA shenanigans. Of utmost importance

Well, there’s another crazy plot thread to clear up. But Sheridan isn’t personally involved in this, so it’s over quickly. Despite leading the series’ central drama for the past eight weeks, the Carrillo family cartel is completely destroyed in a matter of seconds. If you recall, Josephina’s father Pablo Carrillo (Damian Castro) is her bridge to the Los Tigres cartel leader Alvaro Carrillo. His brother is reportedly harboring a Chinese agent. Hardly anything of this plot matters anymore.

Five seconds after we finally meet Alvaro, Pablo shoots his brother in the head. A quick coup? Put someone in power more inclined to work in the best interests of the United States? Now that is the CIA I know. “What makes me sick is how little will change,” says Byron (Michael Kelly). He then sends the spy to Guantanamo faster than the credits rolled after Joe returned home. I can’t say I’m happy with the outcome.

If Yellowstone If the ending ends with Taylor Sheridan’s character personally purchasing the Dutton family ranch, I’ll lose my mind.
