The second season of “1923” was filmed in Texas. Check out the premiere date and how to watch it

Paramount+ announced the release date for the second season of the “Yellowstone” prequel “1923” last week, and the season premiere is just a few months away.

“1923” was co-created by Taylor Sheridan and follows the events of the limited series “1883” (released in 2021). The “1923” prequel “introduces a new generation of Duttons, led by patriarch Jacob and matriarch Cara,” played by Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, respectively, according to Paramount+.

Some scenes may be familiar to Texans, as Sheridan filmed in several Central Texas locations, including Austin, Bartlett and Lockhart, which was remodeled to resemble 1920s Fort Worth.

The second season of “1923” will premiere on Paramount+ on Sunday, February 23, the network said in a press release Thursday.

Season 1 of “1923” is now airing on Paramount Network

Season 1 of “1923” — the second prequel to “Yellowstone,” which originally aired on Paramount+ in December 2022 — debuted on the Paramount Network earlier this week. The episodes air every Sunday after the “Yellowstone” episodes.
