The Stars will compete for the Georgia high school football state championships this week

Week 15 begins at Georgia State on Monday at 4 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. It will be the first of eight state championship games running through Wednesday evening.

Four of the seven best teams in the Georgia High School Football Composite Rankings are playing at the Benz and some stars will be fighting for rings in Atlanta this week.

Bowdon vs. Brooks County – December 16 (4 p.m.)

Headlining this competition are the 2026 four-star tight ends Kaiden Protho for Bowdon and Athlete of the Year 2027 George Lamons for Brooks County. Both programs have won state titles, both are producing talent, and you’ll be hearing a lot about Protho and Lamons in the years to come.

Protho is already a major target for schools like Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Notre Dame and many others. He is the No. 37 candidate in the On3 industry ranking. Lamons is a 6-foot, 200-pound playmaker with early offers from Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, South Carolina and Tennessee.

North Oconee vs. Marist – December 16 (7 p.m.)

Landon Roldan had a big offseason where he chose Georgia over Georgia Tech. The wide receiver is a playmaker for North Oconee 2026 quarterback Harrison Faulkner delivers him the football. One of the biggest increases this fall was Khamari Brooks. The 6-4, 220-pound junior from North Oconee has offers to play EDGE and tight at the next level, and he has added 20 offers since the start of the season. Brooks attended games at schools such as Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and Georgia Tech this season.

Toombs County vs. Northeast Macon – Dec. 17 (1 p.m.)

One of the top-ranked recruits competing for a state title this weekend recently made headlines for decommitting to Tennessee and signing with Florida on Dec. 4. Lagonza Hayward is a two-way player for Toombs County and he is the No. 81 candidate in the On3 industry ranking. He is a Florida State native and is expected to compete for early playing time for the Gators in Gainesville.

Northeast’s top prospect is the 2026 wide receiver Kavon Conciauro. He has early offers from Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, UCF and others. Amari White is a 2026 EDGE with an offer from Connecticut.

Carver Columbus vs. Burke County – December 17 (4 p.m.)

Both programs in this competition have produced talent in the Peach State over the years. Burke County is back under head coach Franklin Stephens and carver Colum has recruits to keep his eye on this week. Two big names to know at Carver are the 2026 four-star EDGE Tristian Givens and 2026 three-star interior offensive lineman Parker Pritchett. Both have over 20 offers and both are being pursued by multiple ACC, Big Ten and SEC programs.

Milton vs. Langston Hughes – December 17 (7 p.m.)

This game is loaded. Both Milton And Langston Hughes have taken part in this game several times in recent years and both have won. On Milton’s side, they are taken over by Miami’s quarterback signee Luke NickelGeorgia wide receiver signee CJ WileyGeorgia tight end signee Ethan BarbourAuburn tight end signee Ryan GheaClemson offensive tackle signee Brayden JacobsTennessee cornerback signee Dylan Lewis and Arkansas defensive line signee Caleb Bell. Run back TJ Lester also had a great season.

Florida offensive tackle signee Langston Hughes is led by future rivals Tavaris cube and interior offensive lineman signee from Georgia Dontrell Glover. Rutgers has signed three-star EDGE Canaan Edwards Earlier this month too. They also have talent at the 2026 four-star tight end position Xavier Tiller (Texas A&M commit) and four-star running back Carsyn Baker.

Hebron Christian Academy vs. Prince Avenue Christian – December 18 (1 p.m.)

A trio of ACC signees lead Hebron Christian Academy. Linebackers Carrington Coombs is headed to Georgia Tech, safety Gerritt Kemp signed with NC State and Virginia as a defensive lineman Sichan John.

Christian Garrett is the leader for Prince Avenue Christianwhich is aiming for its third consecutive title. Garrett was once committed to Georgia but transferred to Georgia Tech in late summer. Jake Bobo is injured at quarterback but will be a signal caller in 2027 Ben Musser is something to keep in mind. Wide receiver Brody Tolbert and CJ Dockery (2026) are two to watch. Mason Townsend is an anchor on the offensive line. Run back Andrew Beard is one of the best running backs in the class of 2027. He will be able to put a name to his school.

Calhoun vs. Jefferson – December 18 (4 p.m.)

Texas tight end signee Emaree Winston is a name worth knowing Calhoun. He is a versatile weapon who also plays basketball for the Yellow Jackets.

Georgia State has signed three-star EDGE Kelan Butler left Jefferson earlier this month. Sammy Brown starts at linebacker for Clemson as a freshman and his younger brother Max Brown is a name to know for the dragons. Schools like Auburn, Ohio State and Tennessee, among others, have already offered the 2027 linebacker.

Carrollton vs. Grayson – December 18 (7 p.m.)

Carrollton is loaded with talent in the 2025 and 2026 classes. Future Colorado quarterback Julian Lewis is the leader. He has throwing weapons, including a four-star athlete Ryan Mosley (2026), wide receiver Peyton Zachary (2026) and tight end Zion Cooley (2025). Run back Kimauri farmer (2026) is a weapon with multiple offerings.

On defense, the secondary is staffed by a Texas safety signee Zelus HiccupFlorida State cornerback signee Shamar Arnoux and former Alabama cornerback Dorian Barney (2026) shows the way. Linebackers CJ Gamble and defensive lineman Zykie Helton There are two juniors to watch. Helton was once committed to Alabama. Kweli Fielder is a 2028 offensive lineman with early offers.

To Grayson, Tyler Atkinson is one of the top prospects in the country. The 2026 linebacker is the No. 8 prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings. Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, Texas and USC are among those in pursuit.

The defense is loaded. Florida defensive line signee Joseph MbatchouLinebackers Anthony Davis (2026), Georgia Tech EDGE signee Andrew FullerNC State defensive line signee Josiah Victor and Indiana cornerback signee Jaylen Bell are impact players. Grayson also has numerous underclassmen with major offers.

On offense, Texas offensive tackle signee Nick Brooks is a leader. quarterback Travis Burgess is a junior and had a breakout season. Alexander Sanchez signed with Appalachian State to play wide receiver.
