The 31-year-old spoke after today’s defeat against Wolves and explained that he finds it strange that goals continue to come from set pieces when the Red Devils don’t miss so many chances of this kind.

Watch below as Maguire spoke to Amazon Prime Video Sport after the 2-0 defeat at Molineux and said he feels the Red Devils don’t necessarily look that weak from set pieces most of the time, even when it’s for it continues to be a problem team…

United also recently conceded two goals from corners against Arsenal, and the same happened in defeats against Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth.

The fact that Maguire is surprised by this is perhaps a bit worrying as the players and coaches they work with should perhaps know why other teams keep beating them in this way.

It will be interesting to see if MUFC can recover from this, but at the moment it looks like it’s going to be a long, long season at Old Trafford.

New coach Ruben Amorim inherited a struggling team and may not have had the impact some fans had hoped for.

While this was always going to be a challenge for Amorim, the Portuguese tactician came home with a big reputation after his good work at Sporting Lisbon.

Furthermore, it’s not like this squad isn’t full of big names and expensive signings, so it’s clear that there are significant performance deficiencies in this team overall.
