The Tennessee Titans QB returns against the Jaguars

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis left the field at halftime of Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars holding his right shoulder after taking a hard hit in the second quarter. His return was considered questionable, but he actually returned for the Titans’ first drive of the third quarter.

Backup quarterback Mason Rudolph took snaps and made warmup throws as the Titans got going before the start of the third quarter. Levis joined Rudolph in warmup throws just seconds before the start of the second half.

Levis has a history with this throwing shoulder. In September, he sprained the ACL in that shoulder, which ultimately led to him missing three games.

Levis dropped back to pass with one second left in the half, but Jaguars star edge rusher Josh Allen ran past rookie left tackle JC Latham almost untouched, burying Levis in the turf and hitting the quarterback directly on the previously injured shoulder. Levis lay still on the floor for a few seconds before walking under his own power to the locker room for halftime as the athletic trainers began to inspect him.

Latham showed some emotion as he walked into the locker room, kicking the 10-yard line pylon on the way in.

At halftime the Titans lead the Jaguars 3-0.
