The Warriors’ offense runs ice cold in their loss to the Cavs (113-95).

Before heading into 2025, the Golden State Warriors had to close out the 2024 calendar with a game against the red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers. After securing a much-needed win over the Phoenix Suns with an impressive performance on Sunday, the Warriors’ offense was ice cold against the Cavaliers.

En route to a 113-95 loss to the Cavaliers, the Warriors shot just 33.3% from the field and 23.7% from distance. While the Warriors couldn’t reach the bottom of the net, the Cavaliers made 18 3-pointers and shot 45.8% from the field. Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell combined for 48 points to lead the Cavaliers.

Moses Moody led the Warriors in 21 minutes off the bench, scoring 19 points on 7 of 8 shooting from the field with three made 3-pointers. While Moody scored 19 points and Jonathan Kuminga scored 18 points, no member of the Warriors scored more than 20 points against the Cavaliers.

Steph Curry battled, scoring 11 points on 4 of 14 shooting from the field and 3 of 11 from long range. Dennis Schroder had another quiet night, scoring 12 points on 4 of 11 shooting from the field in 30 minutes.

Late in the game, rookie Quinten Post came into the game and scored his first points of his young career with a putback off an offensive rebound in the fourth quarter.

After ending 2024 with a loss, the Warriors will welcome the Philadelphia 76ers to the Bay Area on January 2nd for their first game of 2025.
