SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Merry Christmas everyone! Luckily Christmas Day was mostly dry and pleasant in the area, but tomorrow the weather will be a bit unpleasant! It will be mostly cloudy in the area this evening, with temperatures in the upper 50s and lower 60s overnight. A low pressure area will form outside the area to the southwest tomorrow morning and will move in until tomorrow afternoon, bringing with it the risk of severe storms!

Due to the impending low pressure system, a first weather alert has been issued for tomorrow, which brings with it a low risk of severe weather (level 2/5)! All possible modes are associated with this incoming system, namely gusty winds, large hail, heavy rain and/or flooding, and tornadoes. The biggest risk of the possible modes right now is the strong winds and tornadoes, but be sure to pay attention to possible weather changes! Hail is still possible, but is more likely in the southeastern portion of our region in Texas.

The time frame for the front passage will be approximately from noon to around 9 p.m.! After the storms move through, we will have much drier conditions throughout the day on Friday, with highs jumping into the lower 70s. The weekend begins with a chance of scattered showers and storms throughout the day, with drier conditions returning on Sunday and into the New Year! Stay updated on the possible severe weather expected tomorrow! Enjoy the rest of your Christmas vacation!
