There will be further rain on Tuesday with a high risk

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – As a slow-moving cold front slides east, a southerly flow is pushing abundant moisture into the Southeast. On Monday there were some light to moderate showers, while others remained dry. The chance of rain remains this evening into Wednesday.

For now, keep rain gear handy. The chance of rain remains tomorrow and there is a potential risk of isolated severe storms. A marginal risk applies to portions of SGA, with the potential for damaging winds, flash flooding, and a single tornado.

Rain is likely through Wednesday, with showers ending from west to east by the afternoon. The wind shifts from southwest to northwest, bringing drier and colder air. Lows will fall from the 50s and 60s to near freezing again, while highs will fall into the 50s.

A fast-moving front will slide through this weekend with increasing cloudiness and little precipitation. Temperatures will moderate as highs return to the 60s and lows return to the 40s.
